mavrothis and his ensemble have recently completed recording a two album project which was released on june 13, 2008 at alwan for the arts.

“Ξύλινη Καρδιά” (“Wooden Heart”) contains 11 tracks ranging from original instrumental compositions to rare traditional greek urban songs from 1920-1940.

“Στο Καφεσλί Σοκάκι” (“Sto Kafesli Sokaki”) contains 16 tracks of rare urban greek and turkish songs also from the early 20th century.
